Welcome to the homepage of the Tropical Marine Wildlife Research Group (TMWRG) at James Cook University. We are a group of researchers with interests in the conservation and management of a diverse range of species including dolphins, dugongs, seabirds, seasnakes and whales. Our aim is to provide research for the sustainable use of marine wildlife and their habitats.
We are committed to providing excellence in research that contributes to integrated natural resource management. Our research has been used in development of policy and management and conservation strategies within Australia and overseas. We work to actively promote collaboration with management agencies, other research providers, industry, Indigenous Australian representative bodies and their communities.
